Los genes de la famosa Power Plant fueron recogidos por un grupo de cultivadores holandeses durante un viaje por Sudáfrica, allá por los 90. Consiguieron criar una variedad que pronto se hizo popular en los coffeeshops de Holanda, seguramente debido a su intenso subidón Sativa. Zambeza Seeds pensó que la productividad de la Power Plant no debería olvidarse, por lo que creó una versión actualizada, para revivir la leyenda.
La Power Plant XL produce unos rendimientos de hasta 600-750g/m² en un período de floración de unos 55 días. La eficacia y productividad de la Power Plant XL no tiene nada que temer de muchas otras variedades de cannabis modernas. Su altura interior de 80-110cm hace de esta variedad de predominancia Sativa una planta relativamente fácil de cultivar, pero los cultivadores de exterior deben ser conscientes del poder que desarrolla bajo el sol. Puede alcanzar alturas de 150-200 cm y producir 500-600g por planta.
El sabor de la Power Plant XL es una deliciosa mezcla de tonos agridulces con sutiles notas de pino. Los fumadores que buscan un fuerte y estimulante subidón Sativa quedarán más que satisfechos con los resultados. Su efecto es eufórico, intenso y edificante, típico de una Sativa sudafricana. El subidón también puede pasar a ser más relajado, sobre todo si se consume en grandes cantidades.
Mucha gente cree que la Power Plant se cultiva en grandes operaciones comerciales por todo el mundo. No importa si esto es verdad o no, los criadores de Zambeza etán muy orgullosos de haber revivido a esta leyenda. Su versión actualizada, la Power Plant XL, es la "fábrica de cogollo" holandesa más eficiente que existe.
